Yes Folks, I will admit it, the majority of people won’t get involved with a plan that will provide them with ongoing income long after they quit their day job. It seems incredible, doesn’t it. This is especially so for me, when I have two streams of income that with very little effort on my part provide $3,000 a month between them. I am not talking about my current preferred Networking company, I am talking about those I stopped building years ago! All I have to do is spend a few dollars on a regular monthly order!

With that sort of income, coming in every month with no effort, why doesn’t everyone bang down your door to get on board?

Why People Quit

The answer is simple. They don’t believe it can happen to them! You had better listen to that last statement, because if you aren’t earning a nice residual income, you probably have the same belief locked somewhere in your subconscious! Yes, I get frustrated with all those who had good intentions, did the right actions and gave up. Every leader does. I also get excited at those who took up the challenge and are now receiving thousands in residual income each and every month! What do you think I focus on? You bet, the successes. I wish the others a great life, BUT it is their choice to maintain their beliefs, not mine. Often there is nothing I can do but wish them well.

There Is Another Reason

One more particularly important part of building a Network Marketing business is duplication. If you are already on board, what are the people you enrolled doing? Are they helping their recruits find their own leaders and training them to help others? If they aren’t you don’t have a business. That is why I have spent some time looking for a program that will appeal to many people. You can take a look at http://mlmbusinesguru.com Be sure to fill in the form and click on the confirmation email. This is a very cool system that is duplicable. Leads, leads, leads are the answer. The more targeted, and the more skilful you are at conversion, the better.

Changing Your Mindset

This is a short article, to the point and designed to make you think! If you don’t believe money can be made in your business, find someone who does make it and find out how they did it! Take on their belief and if necessary, get them to talk to your new prospects. You just tell them you would like them to talk to your mentor, who is living the lifestyle of their dreams. Listen to personal development and motivation audios which tell you that you can do it until you believe it in your heart. Be passionate about what the business can do for them, and believe in your up line’s ability to convey the success of the business. The one thing you can’t do is make up someone’s mind for them.

Prospecting Isn’t The Only Important Task In Building Your MLM Business.

If you have spent any time in Network Marketing, you will know that the number one challenge facing all of us is finding people to talk to! Solutions range from the 3 foot rule where you hit on everyone who comes near you to attraction marketing and, of course, my MLM Customer Acquisition System. I have certainly spent thousands of hours on various trainings and an enormous quantity of cash learning how to find and recruit people into my businesses. The question is, once you have a fish on the line – what then? Recently I was asked to detail my methods in an in depth interview by Roslyn Ashtee.

I Juggle Many Balls In My Life. Listen To Me Reveal Some Gems You Can Use To Increase Your Network Marketing Success.

In the interview, Roslyn manages to prize some real gems from deep within my memory on how I managed to retain customers and business builders over the years. Every year, I talk to thousands about my business and products, so follow up is a serious challenge to me. There simply aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything, particularly with a family and demanding 3 year old on hand. I had no choice other than to start prioritizing my duties and in 2010, I am doing an inventory of everything I do within my business to streamline it even further. This year I am concentrating on what I do well and outsourcing everything else. The one thing you can’t outsource as many of you have pointed out – is personal contact and relationship building, or can you?

Grab a cup of coffee and put your feet up for 45 minutes, listen to the call and please leave a comment or two. The comments assist me in determining what material to write. I have learned much over the years and want to provide the most relevant content for you on this site.

The new FTC regulations specify that I declare that I now make a full time income from Network Marketing. Should you take the information to heart, you may join my programs or become a business partner and then we might both benefit financially. John has studied MLM for over 12 years, attended many trainings and workshops over the years, learning from the best in the industry. You can contact him at john@pems.com.au .

In an effort to assist you on your path to success, I have been feeling the urge to let you in on a little secret – one which every successful person has experienced. It is what makes the difference between struggling to survive, and moving forward to $1,000 a week or more. It is a magical event where your whole world changes. It is a point you can usually remember forever and look back on as the day everything changed!

I used to get mad when I saw others succeed when I didn’t. I felt I worked just as hard, but success eluded me. I spent the money on personal development and training, yet, when it came time to roll out the rewards, somehow they didn’t come to me.

Sure, I was making a few hundred dollars a month from my MLM business. At lest I made a profit, which was more than most people. But, I wasn’t getting any further. Some invisible force blocked my path!

Then one day in June 200 it happened. Facing almost certain bankruptcy, I had dragged myself down the freeway to Sydney to attend yet another MLM meeting with some Guru who had all the answers. After a couple of hours, it was obvious that he didn’t! Like everyone else, he wanted me to make him rich – or at least that was the way I looked at it. I mean the product was a web page builder – not very exciting. It was very crude compared to what is on offer today.

I left the meeting for the long trip home and whammo – I was pulled over by a couple of kids in jeans who turned out to be cops! They checked my license plate and discovered my car was a day out of rego – bastards. I was hopping mad. I had spent weeks getting the car ready and was going to get the rego check done next day. There was nothing defective about the vehicle. This was a technicality.

I reluctantly took the two tickets they presented and started driving. They stopped me again. “Where are you going?” “Home”, I said. “You can’t go anywhere or we will arrest you!” I had to drive to the nearest Service Station across the road and leave it till morning. I was not happy – I was devastated. Don’t you hate it when someone else controls your life? When someone else tells you what you can and cannot do, for no seemingly logical reason?

I waited. I rang my mum (she lived a few blocks away). “Can I stay the night?” I pleaded. Then I thought about my situation. Did I really want to spend even more of the money I didn’t have? I mean I was facing a huge dentist bill, my business owed $30,000. Pretty soon the credit card company would call for funds I didn’t have. The TV stations and Newspapers were circling in on me. The last thing I needed was a huge bill for my car.

I did the only sensible thing. I climbed back in my car and sneaked home! Got back around 2 am I think. I decided then and there not to be pushed around by anyone. I decided I would fight my way out of this and never go there again. I decided I would do what it took to change my circumstances. I decided that no human or circumstance would stop me!

Now, I had thought this many times and very little changed. On those occasions I quickly slipped back to normality, thinking that one day everything would be fine. This didn’t work! You may know what I am talking about?

In the next week, I got a job to provide some cash flow. It came from nowhere. The car was registered. I wrote to the cops and eventually they dropped the fines I couldn’t pay. I rang all my creditors and made arrangements to pay off the debts. I started in another MLM that for two years provided the funds I needed to pay off the debts.

Wind forward to June 2002. As I neared my goal of being debt free except for the mortgage, a miracle happened. I was laid off from my job. Yes, you guessed it, this provided the rest of the money to get my finances back in order.

This time I felt I was ready to start towards the big time. I put an action plan in place and called my MLM team members. I had picked out one company to become a success with. Over the next few years, my income soared to some $3000 or more monthly. Then I had some problems with up line and company management and got disillusioned. I saw my business slide. What was I to do?

I started marketing on the internet. I had been quietly studying this for some time. First I had an on line course adapted from workshops we used to conduct. Then I built a system around a couple of the MLM products I had in my arsenal. After a few months, one of them started climbing in sales. Two years later, this single sales letter is responsible for over $3,000 a month of my commission income!

Then I had a phone call from someone I met on a company trip in Mexico or somewhere like that. I don’t remember him, but he remembered me. He, like many others, was phoning everyone he had ever met to tell them about yet another MLM! I told him to get lost – twice!

A few months later a friend of mine told me of spectacular results with the products, so I rang back and joined. In three months, I was earning $3,000 a month on top of what I had before. This has continued and grown over the last year or so. It has provided the additional funds for me to be approaching $10,000 a month in commission only, and over $20,000 a month in business turnover. Not bad for someone who settled for a few hundred dollars once.

Like it or not, it was a decision made all those years ago which started all of this success. I project a doubling of business over the next year or so, and I have the plans to achieve that. All three MLMs I am involved with are growing, where thousands of others have quit or wondered why they didn’t work! My progress has been steady. It has been consistent. Now I am so excited, I can’t stop telling people how great life is when you work for yourself, and spend your efforts empowering others to move into a life of freedom and passion. I have others in my group who feel as I do. It all started with that one moment.

This industry is a great one. There are many success stories. I bet if you asked those who are making it when this started, they can tell you. It will be a moment when they drew a line in the sand. A time when they decided the buck stopped with them. A time when they decided they would do what it takes to change their circumstances.

Like it or not, you have 100% control over your attitude. I can teach you everything you need to succeed far better than I have. It will only work if you have the right attitude and determination never again to be controlled by external thoughts, circumstances or people. The you will feel the power of the prophets, and of the great men and women in history.

At http://www.pems.com.au you can find out about the products I market. If you would like to partner with me on your journey and something there appeals to you, contact me and let’s get started. Success is only a thought away.

When building a MLM business, there are some fundamentals that need to be understood. These separate the long term income earners from the fly by nighters who make a few dollars or even lose money and quit. While excitement and passion about your opportunity or products is essential for success, it doesn’t make it happen on its own. What is necessary is a continual stream of prospects for your product or business.

If you read my earlier article, you would know that I have developed 3 organisations of over 1,000 people generating significant ongoing passive income. You would also be aware that I have taken a somewhat unconventional approach, combining a number of successful techniques into a successful system anyone can duplicate with a little training and effort.

Recently, I listened to a call by Kim Klaver, MLM legend, who has moved away from looking for business builders to building a customer base as a means to generating income. It is comforting to see that Kim, in some ways agrees with my approach for the last 10 years. What Kim doesn’t do, is to bring people to the table eager and ready to purchase products.

Here is the challenge we all face. The explosion of MLM in the last few years had meant that there are many aggressive reps recruiting people like mad with the promise of 6 and 7 figure incomes. The circles they draw at meetings make total sense. Just find 3 who find 3 who find 3. After 5 generations, you will be earning thousands providing everyone stays on autoship.

What they don’t tell you is that finding 3 who will do what you do can take years. Many people want the rewards, but are not prepared to suffer the rejection along the way. They want a fast return (this is the way we are taught these days). Attention is short, and if we don’t see results in a few days, weeks or months, we quit and move on to the next scheme. I am here to tell you that this is not the way to experience outrageous success. You may not like it, but it is a fact.

If you read biographies of successful people, you will always find that they got luck after years of perseverance. They had a vision of where they wanted to go, and kept going long after their colleagues gave up. Oprah Winfrey, Jim Carey, Gerry Harvey (Billionaire retailer in Australia) all kept going longer that their competitors. They kept learning and refining their skills until one day they stood out from the crowd.

If you want to experience extreme success, you need to do what these people did. Success leaves traces. In business, your first step to finding a steady supply of prospects is to understand your market.

Pick the product your company offers which has the highest sales. There is usually at least one in a successful MLM venture. If there isn’t change companies immediately! Write a list of all the benefits this product can bring to people. Make it a really long one! Spend some time on this. Then look at the benefits and think of what kinds of people might want those benefits.

Pick one of these target groups of people and now think about what these people might be searching for when looking for an answer to their challenge. The best way to do this is to ask them! This is called surveying. Go find some people who have the affliction. Ask them lots of questions. Try to get an idea of where they look for information and what would get their interest.

When you have done this you will be able to generate a message that appeals to this target group. Using your copywriting skills and internet marketing skills, you can create a campaign which will draw some of this group to you. From here, you show your passion for what you are offering, and if it rubs off onto them, they will purchase your products!

I know it sounds simple. It really isn’t that hard. Once you get the hang of this, you can do this for any product.

Why do people quit in MLM? The obvious answer to this is that it didn’t meet their expectations. They didn’t earn enough income to justify the time and expense put into the business. Most people don’t go into bankruptcy through MLM.

Even if you are foolhardy, at most it is likely you will lose less than $5,000 before you give up! Of course, if you quit your job and don’t have other income sources while you are building your business, you may end up broke.

OK, what about unrealistic expectations?
You would never believe that people would go into business with stars in their eyes and the idea that they spend a little money and talk to a few people they will be rich? Yet, that is what many recruiters in MLM would have you believe. Of course you can earn $100,000 or even $1m a year in an MLM business. You may even get lucky, but for most of us, an extra $500 a month would make a real difference. Many experts believe that for most people enough to cover the cost of their product would keep them involved.

When you go into a “normal” business, there are many expenses. First you spend money on premises, advertising so people will know you are there. You may do a publicity campaign, opening specials or other way to get people into your shop. There is shopfitting and display and all the cash registers and other logistical stuff. Oh yes, you have staff to pay as well. Finally you need products to stock on the shelves for people to buy.

For many small business something from $20,000 to $1m or more is put at risk when starting out. This is before a single customer walks through the door!

In MLM, we spend money on initial stock, some promotional material, web sites, telephone and mail. Typically you could run an MLM business including autoship, initial pack purchase, and promotions for less than $2,000 for 6 months. With that small an expense, there is little motivation to succeed. If you have $1m hanging over your head, are you more or less likely to get up in the morning and get going than if it is a mere $2,000? The answer is obvious.

MLM is a sales business and with my methods, we are looking for customers who pay us money and help us recover our costs. We want to get more back from fast start bonuses than we spend on recruiting new distributors. Some of the people will introduce others, and some will place a regular order. It is this money that builds our passive income base.

Monetising your business means receiving more in direct bonuses on new business than you spend on promotion and your monthly autoship. Pretty simple, isn’t it!

What this means.
I would consider the initial pack purchase as a necessary expense. It is like the shopfitting costs to a normal business. Your internet, telephone, mail, promotional and other expenses are your ongoing business expenses. Your autoship is an expense less the retail value of the product you and your family consume.

When you get your monthly commission cheque, it usually consists of fast start commission, organisation commission (from ongoing purchases) and volume bonuses. So the income from new business is the volume bonuses you wouldn’t get if you weren’t spending the money on recruiting, plus fast start bonuses.

An example of my own. I spent $109 a week on a local paper ad. Over the year, I spent $5,668 In that year I received as a result of that ad income of around $7,000 in fast start bonuses and volume bonuses. I also won two overseas trips! This was a profitable venture. As well as this, my volume commission rose from less than $1,000 a month to nearly $3,000 a month.

Now this didn’t all happen in the first month. Most of it was after 6 months. I attracted a number of business partners and was able to add many customers, some of whom are still purchasing product!

Now imagine if you did this and found 3 other partners who did the same. Imagine if you encouraged and coached them so they received a positive cash return for a year while building an organisation. Yes, you are going to be very successful! The trick is to make a profit from all your recruiting efforts and not rely on your MLM income to pay your household bills.

There you have it, a way to build a long term residual income that doesn’t send you broke and doesn’t cost the earth.
