Unless you have been living under the bed, with the lights turned off, you are aware of the proliferation of video on the internet.

If you are in any kind of business that requires building customer relations, you either are, or should be using webinars as a tool to reach out. Let me tell you my story.

Why I Use Video

When I started out in business, everything was local. We ran local meetings, held events locally, advertised in local media. I connected with many people in my area, joined clubs, etc. After a while I realised that there was a bigger world out there. I observed that performers only do a gig in their home town once or twice a year, and then move around. Why? Well, only so many people are interested in what you have to say at any one time. If those performers stayed put, they wouldn’t make enough money to survive. I started thinking.

For a couple of years I travelled with a show, visiting people all over Australia and New Zealand. I received many requests to conduct workshops and trainings, so I started travelling too. It made a big difference to my income, and I was able to maintain my local commitments as well. I started my own events all over the country. Pretty soon, I had inquiries from other countries! I was getting stretched.

There Was A Challenge

These days I communicate with people World Wide. If you take each individual, travelling to each town is very difficult, if not impossible. With the internet, global communications are necessary. As you can read below, face to face communication is necessary and now possible on line. If you are building anysort of network outside your local area, I think you will find the rest of this article eye opening and informative.

The Early Days

With a background in the corporate world, I can remember flying to remote cities in Australia and making presentations to boards with butcher’s paper. It made a big difference to the pitch to add visuals, and I was able to incorporate humour, and explain thing so much easier. In training, we would plaster sheets of paper with the seminar points all over the walls and often cover a whole room.

The Invention Of Powerpoint

Well, one day it became a whole lot easier. Good old Microsoft came up with a program that made your presentations look nice. It meant we could work out what we wish to say, put it on slides, and then use it as a guide for talks, seminars and training – brilliant. All my University lecturers started using it, as did I and many other marketers. In 2011, it is still the preferred way of presenting information.

These days, you can include animation, video clips, graphics, etc and make quite a show of it.

Conference Calls

Even with powerpoint, audio was still King. I conducted calls for 2 MLM companies over the years and presented product and company information. They were very successful and over the time they were operating, the business grew substantially. In practical terms we trebled volume in a little over a year in one company and doubled the size of a larger organisation with the others. From years of experience, I can tell you that presentations and seminars absolutely will grow your business if held regularly. In the MLM Profit Booster training, we are going to go into specific detail on how to do this.

Again, technology changed, and now people are yearning for video.

Along Comes GoToWebinar

For $97 a month, a new company provided the facility to broadcast video and audio at the one time. Now I could share my screen, demonstrate web sites, and anything on my computer. I could incorporate powerpoint, and so much more. Heck, I could even connect my webcam. I hopped on board. I replaced audio conferencing with video, so much more powerful.

As we move further forward in time, it is all changing. Internet speeds are sky rocketing, and it is getting to the point that as marketers, we can let the off line people go, and concentrate on using webinars to train our teams and educate potential new partners and customers. The sticking point then becomes the $97 a month fee.

A New Player

That is where I am very excited, as now we can have a fully featured webinar system which includes video conferencing, video email, autoresponders, and the ability to even syndicate videos so they get noticed.

We can now get crustal clear presentations with video to display anything you can think up. All on line and all for free for participants. The interface is much easier than gotowebinar, and clients can connect in seconds. There is a set up fee, but after that it is just $35 a month, so you save money too. The new player is Talk Fusion.

Conclusion

As we move forward, webinars will be the preferred method of offering information and training people. There are going to be a good many people looking for a product like Talk Fusion to achieve this. What if you were the person to introduce them to a tool that solves many problems, and saves valuable time and money? Well now you can and get paid for it too! Check out Talk Fusion and get back to me if you want to be part of this revolution. Click Here For More Information On Talk Fusion

When I started in Network Marketing, I didn’t know what I was doing. I simply made contacts and passed them on to my sponsor. It took quite a while before I had enough income to support my lifestyle. For most new entrepreneurs, they start with unrealistic expectations fueled by Gurus, or successful leaders who know you need a strong desire to succeed to make it in this industry. While this is true, financial stability gives you more time to get going, and the finances to fund your new venture.

How A Part Time Income Saved My Bacon!

Back in 2000, I was struggling. My main gig was operating festivals, where thousands of people would attend lectures, be entertained, and buy stuff from stall holders. It took huge effort, massive advertising, but I had a great time at the events. Along the way, I ventured into Network Marketing, as a means of adding more income. This gave me a steady stream of prospects, and my Networking business grew slowly.

It came to a head when I added up my finances and realised I was fast losing a grip on my money, so I made some hard decisions. First, I got a job, and then I started a new Network Marketing business. I did the business part time.

I was disciplined. I made a list of people to call, and every day, I would call a few of them and offer a free sample of my product. I would call them back and see if they liked it. It was a simple plan.

Within 6 months, I had a fast growing organisation. I was holding meetings on weekends and travelling, but apart from that, 1 spent one hour a day building my empire. It was so much better without the pressure of keeping a roof over our heads, or putting food in our mouths!

The Difference Not Relying On Your Network Marketing Income Makes

Success in this industry does require you to be enthusiastic and motivated. The whole thing runs on infectious enthusiasm. When we are in a position where we rely on our MLM income to pay the bills, it is easy to see things the wrong way! Many quit because they know how much they need to live, and see their income below that level. If they hadn’t quit their jobs, they would have an exceptional income, and that extra $500 a month would support a new car payment, bigger house, annual vacation to an exotic location, or many other items they could not afford but for Network Marketing! When you look at your MLM commission that way, it really is exciting. I can remember putting in orders at 5 to midnight, to get a trip to Cancun Mexico, with everything paid for my partner and myself. This is where this industry really gets exciting.

John And Linda In A Cancun Resort.

“I can remember putting in orders at 5 to midnight,

to get a trip to Cancun Mexico, with everything paid for my

partner and myself. This is where this industry really gets exciting”.

My point is that business is subject to constant change. There are highs and lows. When you have a baseline that pays for your lifestyle, this is the greatest industry in the world. Just one hour a day devoted to building your network marketing business, is enough to create that huge residual income. The question is, why would anyone pass that up? The answer is, they simply either think they don’t deserve the money, or they don’t get what the business can do for your lifestyle.

Now, will you spend an hour a day improving your family’s lifestyle?

Do you know why some people seem to get all the prospects, traffic from ads, etc, while others get nothing with the same marketing materials?

Most people think it is because the ads are better, or they were lucky to place them on a full moon! It seems some people just have all the luck.

What if I were to tell you that the real difference has nothing to do with external factors and everything to do with you.

A few years ago a couple of buddhist Monks were coming to Australia. A small one line classified was placed in the paper and thousands turned up to see them! From personal experience, years ago I heard some teachers I liked were coming to Melbourne, so I decided to see if they would like to do a gig in Sydney. I phoned them for a chat and was told they would be at the venue at a certain time, what equipment they required, and that they trusted me to organise everything. We had 3 weeks and no one had even heard of this group here.

They turned up at the appointed time and 108 people were there paying $35 each. Not bad for 1989!

The point is some people can place huge ads with killer copy and get no response, while others can put forward a simple message and get flooded with enquiries.

So what is the secret ingredient?

It is your intention and willingness to back that up with action.

Intention is a matter of belief and focus. The first is belief in yourself and your ability to draw in the people you need to achieve your dreams.

Hint: If you don’t believe a high flyer will join your organisation they won’t, and even if they do, they will do nothing!

Second is belief in what you are doing.

Third is a belief you can assist others to do what you do or even more!

How To Spot Low Belief Levels.

When you sit by the phone waiting for the calls to come in, it indicates your belief level is low!

When you try to convince everyone you meet how good your business or product is, your beliefs are low.

When you give someone a truckload of information so they will have every possible thing to convince them about your product or business…Yes, it means your belief is low!

What Top Performers Know (I am one, so I am qualified!)

In every haystack there is a needle. In every bucket of oysters there is a pearl.

So prospecting is a sorting game. First you know that the universe works in your favour. You also feel and experience where you wish to be in the here and now.

Then you put out energy in the form of CDs, contacts, emails, letters, advertising, etc without a thought of what they might produce.

If you have absolutely no expectation of what results will come from your efforts, a funny thing happens!

People start contacting you from strange places and want to join you. You no longer have to spend hours convincing people, they come to you.

Let’s be clear. The extent to which you worry about the future, feel you have to do tremendous effort to get results, Or get depressed when people don’t answer your ads, tells you where you are lacking belief.

Now for the good news!

Beliefs can be changed. This is a gradual process normally taking time. So you get to $100 a month. The next month it may seem a struggle as your mind says, “that was a fluke, it won’t happen again”. At this point increase the energy you put out, and concentrate on letting go of expectation even more.

Eventually $100 a month becomes normal and happens without thinking. You move up to $500 a month and the same thoughts start running through your head. As you release these and start feeling comfortable with the new level, $500 becomes normal. This is what I did.

Approaching $16,000 a month in commission, I am still involved in this process. I set a goal for $20,000 in a month at the start of 2009. The best month I had until then was $11,500. Would you believe 2 months later I will earn $16,545, more than half way to my goal for the year!

Do you think my belief just got a whole lot stronger that I will make it! You bet.

I am still doing the same things I did 7 years ago. The difference is that now my beliefs have changed and I have opened up capacity for greater abundance. I have no idea where my next diamond or pearl will come from. I just know that something will happen to get me where I decided to be. It is not that much fo a stretch now.

This is my suggestion.

First set some long term goals. Where do you want to be in 1,2 or 5 years.

Then decide the next step, something that is a stretch, but you know it is possible.

Work out an action plan to put energy out there.

Carry out your action plan until you reach your goal. (You may have to adjust and learn along the way).

Once you reach this goal, set another larger target.

Keep learning and adjusting your beliefs as you go, and watch your life take off.

Conclusion

This stuff is really exciting once you harness it. Anyone can do it, so if you hesitate.. yes, that is a belief in the way of your success!

Of course if you are part of my team, I can help you with more specific information.
