The golden rule of success in this industry is FAST! When you join a new opportunity, you are excited and filled with vision of what is about to happen. You see yourself on that yacht, in that new house, with bucket loads of money, on the dream vacation, etc. Your belief level is high.

A funny thing happens when you go out into the world and tell people how this will change your life. Some of them believe you and want your new bound enthusiasm for themselves! They join your organization.

Then something happens. First one, then 2, then 3 say no. Your enthusiasm level drops and suddenly no one wants to be part of your dream! The reason, you lost your mojo! For most, this is the end of the road. You quit, or go find another company that will solve the problem.

The Secret Is To Start Fast!

When I join a new venture, I make a list of people who are interested in making money. Normally I will have around 100 on my list.

I contact them one by one telling them I have found something fantastic that I believe will be the next big thing and that I am putting my forces behind it. They know I will do that, because of past experience!

Those who express interest are sent to a presentation or three way call and asked to join the team. The result is 2 or 3 new enrolments in the first 72 hours.

What Happens Next

This is the part that will make or break your success in this industry. It is called “Duplication”

You want to inspire your new team members to do what you did. Make a list, call them, and introduce them to the system. Then together you see if it is a fit for them.

They, in turn, find 2 people in 72 hours. Just about all of us can find at least 2 people who will join us in a new venture. You simply go through the numbers until you find them!

One trick to expand your sphere of influence is to ask if they know anyone who may be interested? If you got 3 referrals from each of your 100, you would have 300 hot leads.

Now you have an organization of 6, and you just enrolled 2!

The Third Wave

Now for the BIG MONEY! In my experience, most miss this important bit. Your second level distributors need to do what those you sponsored did! That’s right, we need to get them to expose the business to 100 people in a few days and get 2 in 72 hours each. Still with me. This is simple, but very few do it!

The Final Step

The people you sponsored work 3 levels deep and train their recruits to do the same. Get the machine happening and everyone wins. The best part is that you all make a fortune! Sure it takes time, but cycling through 72 hours will give the following.

That’s 4,000 in a month just repeating every 72 hours. Now you know how the big guns do it. They duplicate FAST!

Why People Quit

The answer is simple. They don’t believe it can happen to them! You had better listen to that last statement, because if you aren’t earning a nice residual income, you probably have the same belief locked somewhere in your subconscious! Yes, I get frustrated with all those who had good intentions, did the right actions and gave up. Every leader does. Part of my strategy is to write articles and publish them on the various article directories. There is quite a bit to producing articles that work for your business, and I thought I would share some of my insights here.

First, the format of the article is crucial. You need a catchy headline, first paragraph summarizing the content and giving a compelling reason to read the rest, use subheads where you start a new section, and tie each paragraph or section into the next one with a linking statement that entices them to read further.

At the end of the article you summarize, tell them what to do next, and add a resource box with your website, email, why they should listen to you, and what your qualifications are as an expert.

Most people think it is because the ads are better, or they were lucky to place them on a full moon! It seems some people just have all the luck.

What if I were to tell you that the real difference has nothing to do with external factors and everything to do with you.

A few years ago a couple of buddhist Monks were coming to Australia. A small one line classified was placed in the paper and thousands turned up to see them! From personal experience, years ago I heard some teachers I liked were coming to Melbourne, so I decided to see if they would like to do a gig in Sydney. I phoned them for a chat and was told they would be at the venue at a certain time, what equipment they required, and that they trusted me to organise everything. We had 3 weeks and no one had even heard of this group here.

They turned up at the appointed time and 108 people were there paying $35 each. Not bad for 1989!

The point is some people can place huge ads with killer copy and get no response, while others can put forward a simple message and get flooded with enquiries.

So what is the secret ingredient?

It is your intention and willingness to back that up with action.

Intention is a matter of belief and focus. The first is belief in yourself and your ability to draw in the people you need to achieve your dreams.

Hint: If you don’t believe a high flyer will join your organisation they won’t, and even if they do, they will do nothing!

Second is belief in what you are doing.

Third is a belief you can assist others to do what you do or even more!

How To Spot Low Belief Levels.

When you sit by the phone waiting for the calls to come in, it indicates your belief level is low!

When you try to convince everyone you meet how good your business or product is, your beliefs are low.

When you give someone a truckload of information so they will have every possible thing to convince them about your product or business…Yes, it means your belief is low!

What Top Performers Know (I am one, so I am qualified!)

In every haystack there is a needle. In every bucket of oysters there is a pearl.

So prospecting is a sorting game. First you know that the universe works in your favour. You also feel and experience where you wish to be in the here and now.

Then you put out energy in the form of CDs, contacts, emails, letters, advertising, etc without a thought of what they might produce.

If you have absolutely no expectation of what results will come from your efforts, a funny thing happens!

People start contacting you from strange places and want to join you. You no longer have to spend hours convincing people, they come to you.

Let’s be clear. The extent to which you worry about the future, feel you have to do tremendous effort to get results, Or get depressed when people don’t answer your ads, tells you where you are lacking belief.

Now for the good news!

Beliefs can be changed. This is a gradual process normally taking time. So you get to $100 a month. The next month it may seem a struggle as your mind says, “that was a fluke, it won’t happen again”. At this point increase the energy you put out, and concentrate on letting go of expectation even more.

Eventually $100 a month becomes normal and happens without thinking. You move up to $500 a month and the same thoughts start running through your head. As you release these and start feeling comfortable with the new level, $500 becomes normal. This is what I did.

Approaching $16,000 a month in commission, I am still involved in this process. I set a goal for $20,000 in a month at the start of 2009. The best month I had until then was $11,500. Would you believe 2 months later I will earn $16,545, more than half way to my goal for the year!

Do you think my belief just got a whole lot stronger that I will make it! You bet.

I am still doing the same things I did 7 years ago. The difference is that now my beliefs have changed and I have opened up capacity for greater abundance. I have no idea where my next diamond or pearl will come from. I just know that something will happen to get me where I decided to be. It is not that much fo a stretch now.

This is my suggestion.

First set some long term goals. Where do you want to be in 1,2 or 5 years.

Then decide the next step, something that is a stretch, but you know it is possible.

Work out an action plan to put energy out there.

Carry out your action plan until you reach your goal. (You may have to adjust and learn along the way).

Once you reach this goal, set another larger target.

Keep learning and adjusting your beliefs as you go, and watch your life take off.

This stuff is really exciting once you harness it. Anyone can do it, so if you hesitate.. yes, that is a belief in the way of your success!

It is early October, and I have been looking back at the last month. In my principle MLM we had a special bonus where leaders could earn an extra $250 just by meeting certain goals. Five people out of 1,000 reached the target and will get a substantial commission cheque in a few weeks. The rest will be thinking it is too hard, or have given up, or simply don’t believe they are lucky like these few individuals.

I am not stupid enough to think that others didn’t put in effort to get this target. I am sure they did. So why didn’t more succeed? It is the same over and over again. When you understand the “secret” and apply it over and over again, you will never have to worry about where your next meal or overseas trip will come from. Once you switch your thinking to abundance, your life will be permanently transformed.

When seeking abundance there are a couple of rules. If you haven’t read “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D Wattles, I suggest you get a copy and read it cover to cover. Gratitude is really important to success. Every one of these people who made the target feels grateful. As a result they receive help from the universe and other people.

They remained focused. In Stephen Covey’s words, they “Begin with the End in Mind”. They know what they have to attain to achieve the reward. They don’t quit because it looks like they won’t make it. They persevere until the last minute. At this stage if they are close, they do what it takes to get over the line. Most of these individuals didn’t look like making it until near the deadline. Those who didn’t make it probably saw they weren’t getting there and quit, so they will never know if they could get there or not! When you make an agreement with yourself to do what it takes, providence steps in and lends a helping hand. I have seen this time and time again over many years in my life.

One individual made a mistake and nearly failed at the 11^th hour. I, and my support team stepped in and sorted out the problem for her. There are many others I haven’t done this for. Why? Well, they simply don’t show the right qualities of successful people. Those with the right attitude receive extra help from many sources.

I am not sure whether those of you reading this article get it yet? In China, there is a huge compound in Beijing. This is where the top party officials live in opulent luxury, while the 1.2 billion others struggle. The Chinese outside of the elite group are not even aware of this other life. It is the same with those who are successful. They constantly practice and reap the rewards of abundance thinking – the attraction factor if you like – while the rest of the world wonder whether this is true or just a scam designed to divest them of their money. You can’t see abundance thinking producing until you cross the line, think like successful people do, and do what successful people do. There is no shortcut. It takes tenacity, discipline, and I would say bloody mindedness.

Anyone can do this, but few will. Most of us are so caught up feeling sorry for ourselves because of past experiences, we can’t forgive ourselves for abandoning our birthright. Every time we refuse to keep focused on achievements, usually to avoid perceived disappointment, we take a little of our attraction power away. Every time we move beyond our old conditioning, we build our attraction power. Ask a question. Are you more attracted to someone who constantly achieves their goals in life, with minimum effort, or someone who puts in lots of effort and constantly fails? You see, once you cross the line and start attracting what is important to you, others will want to come with you and this is what results in abundance for all.

One final thing. Focus on helping others move to attraction thinking. The more people you help make the shift, the more abundance you create for both of you. In Network Marketing, my preferred method of supporting my family, I find that those few individuals who listen and learn and ensure they reach their goals month after month no matter how it looks along the way, make all the difference. Now I look to taking one or two people at a time by the hand, and working to get their mindsets in the right place. I know most won’t make it, but could you be the one who does? Imagine your life 5 years from now if you do, or don’t take action on this.

The True Secret Revealed.

Everytime you follow through on your action plan you send a powerful message to the Universe. If you don’t get the desired result, you regroup and go again. When defeat is not an option, results change as you discipline your mind. As you start achieving desired results, they become easier, and then you can create larger wins in your life. You become a person others are drawn to and then your life becomes abundant in every way. It is who you are and how you think that determines your altitude in life. Once you make the switch, you simply work with others and help them change and there is no limit to what can be done.
